Cape Town 2010 - new video report
As promised, here is the link for our latest video report (of course, if you have registered as a broadcaster and have access to the ftp site, those are bigger and cleaner files) click here for the report.
The first full day of the Congress was focused on Truth - specifically the truth of the Word of God and of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is foundational to everything else that the Congress will be building on.
I like this report - nice video quality, good interviews… let me know what you think. (It was shot on a Sony EX3, edited on Final Cut Pro, and had no color grading)
More tomorrow… and another report (reconciliation). Until then…

My internet connection is pretty lousy out here in the Ozarks, but I did watch the video on truth and part of the video on reconciliation before my connection totally popped off.
I like the look of the video, obviously from a full HD sensor camera. The narration was interesting (and I’m a sucker for African accents). Some of the b-roll looked a little “stock” and went by too fast to really see it, but there were some great uses of tilt-shifts and some nice DOF work.
The overall message of the videos was strong, though. I loved the commitment of many of the attendees to strict Biblical truth as absolute. It’s refreshing to hear that kind of dedication in our modern world of subjectivities. I became very excited for the work of the congress and am prayerful about seeing real change come, not just to Africa, but to the world’s Christian body through this gathering.
Exciting stuff.
Thanks Emilio - it’s a blast working with the local South Africans, especially doing voice over. These guys (and girls) sound so good - I’m getting them to do a new phone answering machine message for me!
